  • M. Sc.  in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India (1996) (1st Class) (CPI 8.3).
  • B. Sc. in Chemistry   from University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India (1993)/ 1st class 1st (Gold Medal) (69.2%).
  • Higher Sc. in Belur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Belur Math (1989)/1st Division (67%).
  • Secondary from Bagnapara High School, Kalna, Burdwan/ 1987/ 1st Division (80%).
